Enhanced customer support and operational capabilities
VISTA, Calif. (January 11, 2011) – Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. announced today that it has launched an aggressive $10 million plan of investment to enhance its customer support and operational capabilities in North America. This multi-faceted plan was based on the needs and input of customers in all channels and supports Zodiac’s strategic direction as a customer-focused, innovative provider of differentiated pool and spa products and services.
Under the plan, Zodiac will make considerable enhancements to its customer support, sales operations, supply chain, and manufacturing and distribution resources:
- Customer Support – Zodiac is automating its industry-leading Club P® customer loyalty program (recently renamed Zodiac Premium). Starting February 1, Club P cards will no longer be needed. Instead, distributors will provide monthly dealer purchase records to Zodiac electronically, thereby automating the point submission process and reducing administrative time and burden for Zodiac dealers. Additionally, dealers will have easy access to view their program status throughout the year on the new Zodiac Premium website.
Zodiac has also implemented a new organization of dedicated regional customer support teams. Now Zodiac’s professional customers will call a specific phone number to reach their dedicated customer support representatives, who have in-depth knowledge of the account and the specifics of business in the customer’s area. This will allow Zodiac to deliver personalized, thorough, and consistent service and support to its customers.
- Sales Operations – Zodiac is investing in its sales and service operations, including the deployment of salesforce.com™, one of the most technologically-advanced customer relationship management (CRM) solutions available. This enhancement will allow Zodiac’s field sales and service teams to deliver valuable, actionable information to their customers in real time.
- Supply Chain – To support its ever-growing product portfolio and customer base, Zodiac is launching new state-of-the-art supply chain management tools and business processes. Building on the company’s already robust technology base, Zodiac will deploy an enhanced Oracle suite of solutions, including Demantra and ASCP, which will enable faster and more cost-efficient supply chain planning and order fulfillment.
- Manufacturing and Distribution – To support its objectives, Zodiac will relocate all activities performed at its Moorpark, Calif. facility to its North American headquarters located in Vista, Calif. This will create a unified, world-class organization operating in a single location. Zodiac is also expanding its delivery capabilities by enlarging its Eastern distribution center in Memphis, Tenn., and establishing a new West Coast distribution center in Southern California. This will allow Zodiac to quickly and efficiently deliver product to its customers across the country.
